We don't know what Mo was thinking. By the way, you can still see this clock in Manatou Springs, just west of Colorado Springs. I recently saw an old postcard of this building, with the clock in it's original glory.
Someone must have spent a good $4.95 down at Wal-Mart buying new clock hands, and getting "sticky" letters to customize this clock. They just don't know how hard an original plastic cowling is to get these days.
